Gotta admire good editing work, even if it’s just for a vibrant video. This one is by Paul Prouxl, compiling a bunch of footage from what’s been considered as the awesome movies of the last decade, the 2000s. I wouldn’t say I’d agree with all the choices of titles but for the most part, it hits the target. I like how the music starts with Eminem’s Lose Yourself and then it ends with a soothing Mad World… Read the rest of this entry »

It’s that time of year again, Newsweek got its Oscar roundtable videos, interviewing this year’s nominees Jeff Bridges, Morgan Freeman, Carey Mulligan, Sandra Bullock, Gabourey Sidibe and Woody Harrelson. What I like about this is how relaxed the atmosphere gets, everybody is just enjoying each other’s story and they chat like old friends about what made them nervous, their struggling past, and more. My favorite hilarious part is Bridges’ obsession over Mulligan’s creative toes, just check out the videos after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »

For the past couple of weeks, director Joe Johnston has been heavily promoting THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA by sharing bits and pieces of the development on the upcoming Marvel live action movie. From prepping production design, that they have a short life and they’re going to cast Captain America pretty soon, and about going back WWII, a 98 lbs Steve Rogers, the costume, the VFX and Red Skull as the villain. I mean, Johnston is not Christopher Nolan, Johnston will glad tell anyone what they’re doing so far with the project and how they’re approaching the characters and the story. He also revealed via CHUD, that Captain America’s old team in the comic books, THE INVADERS will play a significant role in the movie… Read the rest of this entry »
As you know I’m a die hard fan of Quentin Tarantino, so when I watched these vibrant videos at slashfilm, I knew I had to share ‘em with you guys. In a recent panel in Santa Barbara this past weekend, via Hollywood Elsewhere, QT talked about how no matter what Brian de Palma did, there’s always Marty Scorsese that just topped his work, and also about first week of directing Reservoir Dogs and last but not least what he would’ve changed about Kill Bill if he had seen AVATAR first. What never ceases to impress me about QT is his sense of humor when telling a story, I mean the guy was sitting next to Todd Phillips, the director of last year’s funniest movie The Hangover but Tarantino’s hilarious comments and comeback seem to have stolen the event. Watch the videos after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
