It’s bad enough that BRUNO wasn’t as funny as Borat (check out my review), now the audiences in the U.K. area would get 2 versions of it. According to Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures U.K. is releasing a re-edit of BRUNO to get that ’15′ rating instead of just the original adult ’18′ that contains 3 scenes with stronger sex references
Funny thing is… the penis shot isn’t one of the 3 scenes they’re talking about..
The first scene is a montage of exaggerated sexual activity between Bruno and his Asian boyfriend.
The second shows Bruno miming fellatio and anilingus as he pretends to have oral sex with a ghost.
The third shows sex among couples at a swingers’ party.
Those 3 scenes will be cut from the ’15′ version is 110 seconds shorter than the original. This marks the first time that the two versions of one film will have been released at the same time in the U.K. Of course, the underlining actual reason for Universal to make this decision is not because Universal cares about this generation and what they’d be exposed to,.. it’s about getting those teens to watch the movie so there’ll be more box office money coming in.
