Getting bullied? Who you gonna call? DRILLBIT TAYLOR!!!

Posted by Rama On July - 31 - 2007

Owen Wilson
Three high school freshmen hire a bodyguard named Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson) to protect them against bullies. Seth Rogen has a part in writing the script to the story, which is based on John Hughes’ idea (The guy behind ‘Sixteen Candles‘, and ‘The Breakfast Club‘).
Having been a kid that was mocked and bullied years ago, I’m always up for movies that show the geeks and nerds become champions at the end of the day.
Revenge of the Nerds‘ is one of the coolest movies ever.
Besides, someone said to me once, “Always trust the geeks.” That’s because they’re the ones that often come up with the solutions.

If you see the trailer, you’ll agree with me that Owen Wilson is good at playing this type of character, like he was in Shanghai Noon and Wedding Crashers. The trailer seems kinda stupid and anyone that would see this trailer/preview of Drillbit Taylor probably wouldn’t wanna watch the movie basing it on what they saw on the trailer alone. But Seth Rogen made Superbad and I’ve seen ‘Superbad‘ and I thought it was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen in my life. So I think Drillbit Taylor just might have the same luck.
Drillbit Taylor is scheduled for release March 21, 2008.
Usually films that are in the beginning of spring season are usually not that impressive.
But we’ll be the judge of that.
What do you think?

Poster and Trailer of HITMAN

hitman
Agent 47 is a wealthy and successful assassin being pursued by Interpol and Russian military. He is troubled by his cryptic past. This movie is based on a very popular best-selling video game franchise. Timothy Olyphant who plays Sheriff Bullock on TV’s Deadwood and who also plays the bad guy in ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ will be Hitman a.k.a agent 47.
I think either Jason Stathan or Vin Diesel would’ve been a better Hitman than Timothy Olyphant.

They've got Prince Caspian for the next Narnia film

Posted by Rama On July - 31 - 2007

ben barnes
I like the first movie. Although I have never read any of C.S. Lewis books, I thought the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was done really well by the filmmakers. I didn’t think it was preachy though it has Christian themes in it.
So the next film will be the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, and they’ve got the actor to play the role. His film career is still fairly new, but he will be in the upcoming film: Stardust, with Robert DeNiro and Michelle Pfeiffer. His name is… Ben Barnes and he is Prince Caspian. Apparently, the movie’s going to be among the list of next year’s summer blockbuster films. It will be released May 16, 2008.

HALLE BERRY… yummy!

Posted by Rama On July - 31 - 2007

Halle Berry
Halle Berry is my birthday wish every year.
The ever so sexy Halle Berry has returned along with Hollywood’s mystical man Benicio Del Toro, who chooses to do movies once every two or three years. David Duchovny’s gonna be working with them in the upcoming film: The Things We Lost in the Fire. It’s about a widow who invites his husband’s best friend to live with her and her two children. He helps them cope with their loss.
Even though it’s rated R, the story kinda sounds like a nicer version of… ‘Monster’s Ball’ without old man Billy Bob Thornton humping Ms. Berry.

This should be good cause we have two Oscar winners who can carry anything that any director would tell them to do. Besides, summer’s almost over and it’s that time of year again for Oscar worthy movies to stop by and say “How ya doin’?”
After a season of fast paced action, mega visual effects, close to real animations, and laugh out loud comedies, it’s kinda cool sometimes to just sit back and enjoy films that remind us about what it really takes to live life, and I mean the painful side of it.
All the guys in the world should not put their hopes up, cause I don’t think Halle’s gonna do again what she did in ‘Monster’s Ball’ anytime soon.
The Things We Lost in The Fire will be found in theaters October 26

Rush Hour 3
We went to the red carpet world premiere of the movie ‘Rush Hour 3′ and man was it crowded! There wasn’t as much crowd as it was for Harry Potter movie premiere, cause for Harry Potter they literally blocked a big chunk of Hollywood boulevard. But Rush Hour 3 premiere was definitely anticipated by the loyal fans of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. And right here at Rama’s SCREEN you’ll get to see the firstlook photos from the red carpet world premiere of Rush Hour 3… Read the rest of this entry »

New Movie Posters of IRON MAN

Posted by Rama On July - 30 - 2007

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark as Iron Man
Summer of 2008 will be an awesome season for moviegoers such as us, you and me and every other movie freaks out there.
Because you know what?! Batman film: THE DARK KNIGHT, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, and also… IRON MAN.

The movie IRON MAN has finished production and director Jon Favreau and Robert Downey, Jr. are just simply helping promoting it through whatever channel, including movie posters, which I have for you right now courtesy of moviesonline. This movie’s gonna rock cause I think not only the action’s gonna be fast-paced, but it sounds like the story is going to be that of deep quality.
The billionaire Tony Stark who is haunted by his own demons is just an ordinary executive by day, but by night he is the vigilante who fights crimes and injustices only to find that he needs to face the one enemy that he may not be able to defeat: Himself.

Catherine Zeta Jones
Sometimes, in one season, there would be two films in theaters that share similar themes. ‘Armageddon’ and Deep Impact’ which are about earth’s doomsday… ‘Remember the Titans’ and ‘The Replacements’, which are football movies that mean much more. This summer we have two movies that are… Read the rest of this entry »
