Let’s go through the word Crapola, shall we?! It means rubbish, garbage, or things that are so crap, they shouldn’t be around in the first place to begin with. If you look up the word Crapola in the slang dictionary, next to it you’ll find the movie picture of… Read the rest of this entry »

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION Review
THE INCREDIBLE HULK Artwork
A scooper at Superherohype shared what might be a possible artwork for marketing purposes of next year’s THE INCREDIBLE HULK movie. It looks pretty cool, the face is different than the first HULK movie, which by the way would have nothing to do with the upcoming one starring Edward Norton and Liv Tyler, opens June 13th.
If this in fact turns out to be the one that Marvel Studio and Universal Pictures decide to use for merchandising and ad campaign, then we will see more of this artwork as a part of toys, drinks, and shirts as the time gets near.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE Review

The Beatles would be so proud of this movie, it practically uses their timeless songs in almost every scene. It’s impressive how ACROSS THE UNIVERSE gives story to each song as if The Beatles themselves intended it that way when they wrote them. This weird drama is very… Read the rest of this entry »
GOOD LUCK CHUCK Review

Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, quite the odd combination for romantic comedy but that’s just the case with GOOD LUCK CHUCK. If you want to watch this for the comedy alone you most likely… Read the rest of this entry »
SOUTHLAND TALES Trailer
Way back ago, Rama’s SCREEN showed you some clips from upcoming movie SOUTHLAND TALES directed by Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko). This time, we have here the official trailer. Apparently The Rock is slowly eliminating his nickname and now using just Dwayne Johnson to present himself as a movie star.
Donnie Darko was a pretty trippy movie, which I didn’t mind at all, especially that creepy lookin’ bunny, but I don’t know what to think about this one. Also starring Justin Timberlake, Sean William Scott, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Mandy Moore, the only actress who seems to be the same person in all her movies no matter what different roles she plays. It opens November 9th.
New AVP: R Trailer
The last one that was shown was the Restricted R-rated Red band trailer where the violence and strong language were shown in the preview, not to mention it gave the impression this next installment would be filled with much more action than the first movie, which was lame to the core. This new trailer introduces us briefly to some of the characters that will be killed by Alien and Predator. I still can’t get over the fact that they’ll release this movie this Christmas, December 25. Of all the days in a year, why does it have to be that? No shame! Stupid Alien Vs. Predator!

First picture from SEX AND THE CITY: The Movie
This popular HBO TV series is going to the big screen and all the ladies will reprise their roles. Recently, it’s been informed that Jennifer Hudson is in the cast as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant. The plot will center around the four gossip loving New Yorkers a few years after the time frame of the finale of the HBO series.
My favorite Sex and the City character has always been Miranda but dont’ tell anybody that. This is the latest picture from the movie which will be released in May 2008. It doesn’t look like it’s a scene from the movie, it looks more like an ordinary picture of two celebrities (Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris North) smiling for the camera. I hope in the near future they’ll release more photos that are actual snapshots from the movie.

Zodiac high on CGI
I thought the movie Zodiac was a really clever psychological thriller, most who’ve seen it disagreed and thought it was too boring, the were expecting David Fincher to make something that’s more interesting and twisted like his previous awesome movies (Fight Club, Seven). But what we didn’t know was that some scenes in Zodiac were powered by CGI, especially the San Francisco background in the 70s. When I watched the movie, it looked it could’ve been filmed in studio backlot with apartment set that weren’t real buildings. But if you see the clip below, you’ll appreciate one of the magic of filmmaking. They use a lot of blue screen. Who would’ve thunk?! It got me fooled.
The young Uhura for STAR TREK prequel

And so they’ve chosen the actress to play the young Uhura for J.J. Abrams’ STAR TREK movie.
Zoe Saldana (Center Stage, The Terminal, Guess Who) is currently filming another Science Fiction by James Cameron called Avatar. I just hope she knows what she’s getting herself into by signing on to do a STAR TREK movie, all those… Star Trek Conventions for the rest of her life.

Zoe Saldana

Nichelle Nichols as Uhura
In the original TV series, Uhura — which means freedom in Swahili — was a member of the bridge crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise who rose to the rank of commander. Nichelle Nichols played the Starfleet Academy alum in the series.
Zoe Saldana joined Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimroy, and Anton Yelchin in the cast about the movie that will boldly go to the beginning, where Kirk and all the crew were yet to be legends.
SKID MARKS Trailer
Here’s a comedy that those of you EMT can relate to. I’m not saying you’re a lot like the idiotic characters depicted in this silly slapstick, but just like The Police Academy and Super Troopers, this one’s going make fun of another professional career. It’s about two rival ambulance units that have to go head to head to prove which one is the best at saving patients so that they can avoid getting shut down because of budget cuts. This movie will perform CPR in theaters everywhere October 5.
