The movie title itself already gives a reason to laugh.
Since it’s weekend I figured let’s watch some clips from John C. Reilly’s new comedy film made by Judd Apatow and ‘Freaks & Geeks’ buddy Jake Kasdan WALK HARD: THE DEWEY COX Movie opens December 21st. It’s a music biopic spoof, a little heads up though… it is a rated R humor so some of these clips might be funny to only some of us and that includes yours truly

While William Shatner is still bitter about the fact that the invitation from J.J. Abrams for Shatner to join STAR TREK Prequel got lost in the mail, George Takei managed to be part of the new project about the crew members of Star Trek Enterprise when they were young.
George Takei, more known as Sulu will definitely make a brief appearance.

George will join Leonard Nimoy for flash forward scenes. The rumor is that the old Spock will go back in time to prevent bad guys from killing young Capt. Kirk.
The crew of the S.S. Enterprise will include actor John Cho (Harold & Kumar) as young Sulu.

Not bad at all, I mean… to have Nimoy and Takei involved in the movie but not Priceline’s Shatner is still messed up but Takei himself is an entertaining fellow.
His role in TV’s Heroes as Hiro’s dad cracked me up cause all I could think of was Sulu.
George Takei surprisingly got a dirty sense of humor.I remember Comedy Central’s the Roast of William Shatner back in 2006 and still laugh at some of things he actually said about Old Fat Kirk.
BTW, FYI, “The Roast Of’”… is kinda like AFI Life Achievement Award but instead of honoring the person, a bunch of foul mouthed comedians get to mock and ridicule and say the nastiest things about the man/woman of the hour.

Awesome, dude! Jack Black and Mos Def are surfing on a giant video tape and since the movie is about two guys re-enacting movies and film it their style, youtube style, it’s practically fair to have a movie poster with the design or background that looks like a half-ass job or a coloring book.
BE KIND REWIND opens in theaters on the same day as RAMBO, January 25th, 2008. Maybe Mos and Jack ought to do RAMBO movie too.

Here are two more clips of sweded trailers, meaning fan-made trailers done by Jack’s character and Mos Def’s character from the movie BE KIND REWIND.
The first clip is The Ghostbuster sweded trailer and the second one is Robocop sweded trailer.
These clips make fun of bad acting, right Jessica Alba? And Jessica Alba nods her head without even knowing why.

Al Roker is the luckiest weatherman in the whole world, not only is he likable and he gets paid big time by NBC, he also gets to do cool gigs like going to the set of THE DARK KNIGHT and interviewing Batman himself, Mr. Christian Bale,.. not that stupid Hammer dude from JLA Movie.

They talked about the Batman character presented by the franchise as someone with somewhat of a multipler personality and they also talk about the famous Batman suit.
Al Roker then listens as Aaron Eckhart describes to him who Harvey Dent is.
Director Christopher Nolan also tells Al Roker what it was like working on a project with great talents.

It’s all confirmed today by Empireonline, IESB and all the other movie news sources out there. What’s confirmed?
The cast of George Miller’s JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Movie so far… or as anyone with a healthy movie sense would call it: The I-CAN’T-BELIEVE-THEY’RE-STILL-GONNA-MAKE-THIS-MOVIE Movie.

And so here they are, the list of people perfect for Halloween party and the singing telegram service:

1). Armie Hammer as Batman
How dare he plays my favorite superhero! This Hammer dude looks like one of those high school jocks who end up flipping burgers for a living.
Him playing Batman is not cool, man! Christian Bale should give him the beating of his lifetime.

2). Megan Gale as Wonder Woman
No argument here…
What?! What do you want me to say? She’s perfect for the part. Who knows if she has the Xena fighting skills that the Wonder Woman role requires but… well alright! I’m a sucker for beautiful women, you got me!

3). Adam Brody as The Flash
Hahaha! Sorry, I had to laugh!
The big reason why I never liked the TV series The O.C. was Adam Brody’s annoying voice. There’s just something wrong with his speech ability or something.
Since he’s going to be The Flash, I hope his scenes in the movie will come and go as fast as he runs.

4). Common as The Green Lantern
I never took The Green Lantern for a rapper, maybe he can rap his way out of this movie.

In conclusion: though JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA Movie won’t be released until possibly 2010, we can now know for sure, more than ever, that Hollywood’s greedy effort to make money off us the audiences during summer season has hit an all time low. They’d even go to any measure and that includes making bad casting, just to make a few bucks.

At last, my arm is complete! Actually that’s a line from Sweeney Todd but this big red picture completes the team from Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense or in simple English… Hellboy and his kick ass friends.

Look at the make up work on that face? Would you want to sit for hours and be transformed into that?
But HELLBOY here looks like he just bought American Gangster’s street drugs and is currently enjoying it.

HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, directed by Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth), will open July 11, 2008 and it stars Ron Pearlman again as the red demon defender against the forces of darkness. In this sequel a bunch of rebellious creatures from the mythical world are waging a war against humanity and Hellboy and his gang must fight to save the world in the battle that’s diabolically massive.

Empire magazine may have started the frenzy but Wizard magazine doesn’t wanna be left out of the competition, THE JOKER will also be headlining their next issue. On top of that they also got the first look dibs on TRANSFORMERS 2. I gotta check this one out as soon as it hits the stand.
The Joker featured in another magazine, the beginning of many more to come. For a guy who can scare a whole city with his laughter he sure knows how to get publicity.

Why O Why do they need do this forever?!
Scary Movie 1 and 2 were the only funny ones, that’s it!
The Wayans Brothers with their rated R humor, now that was funny!
Ever since the supposedly spoofmeister David Zucker (Airplane!, The Naked Gun) took over and turn it into PG-13, this franchise has gone down the drain. I remember watching the third and fourth installments in theaters and nobody laughed, in fact everyone came out of there pissed off.

Shawn Wayans himself actually has something to say about all this during the conversation with moviepicturefilm.com

“We are not involved in 3, 4 or 5 no matter what rumors are put out there.
Yeah, they sucked. “Scary Movie 2″ was better than both of them and it wasn’t our best one, we know that, we were rushed to do that movie…the studio that was doing them”

That’s right, Shawn! Preach it!
I thought the TV series The Wayans Bros. was awesome! They should’ve kept making that.
Shawn and his brother Marlon are planning to make the movie version of The Munsters, but it’s going to be PG-13 and he says why:…

“The Munsters” is going to be PG-13 as well. You know what happened with the rated R thing is that we were doing our rated R comedies and then they started clamping down on kids going into the theater. So kids would still be sneaking into our movie but would be paying to see something else. So none of the box office went to our movie, yet everyone still saw it. Business wise, it made it tough for us to continue doing them.”

Sneaky little punks… movie-hopping and all.
Well, I can’t really judge them and on the other hand, Shawn does have a point because at the end of the day… it’s nothing personal, it’s just business… right?
