Funny New Year's Resolutions

happy new year

My New Year’s Resolution is to be damn proud of what I damn do!
Haters come up to me saying “what the hell are you doing wasting time hours in front of the f*in’ Computers all day getting info nobody give a S*t about?”
This new year, they’re going to have my reply,
and this is my reply… “Go suck it, Asswipe!, I do what I want!”.

Having said that, my new year’s message to all you movie buff out there…
Don’t be ashamed of what you want to achieve in life, because if you don’t get it… at least you die tryin’.
What the?!… Why the hell did I just sound like 50 Cent??
I need some sleep, that’s my new year’s resolution.. I’ll just voluntarily pass out, hybernate, or whatever you call it.. and wake up in 2009 where flying hoverboards really exist and McDonald’s Dollar Menu serves lamb-chop.

What’s your New Year’s Resolution, movie buff?

Here’s a video clip from funnyordie of a bunch of celebrities telling us their new year’s resolutions.. some are funny, some are just stupid, and some we’ve said to ourselves before but end up not doing them ever because they’re just plain ridiculous.

WITLESS PROTECTION Poster & Trailer

Posted by Rama On December - 31 - 2007

larry the cable guy

Larry The Cable Guy is funny when he does stand up comic, now when he does movies, that’s a whole other un-funny story.
But I gotta admit, I thought Delta Farce was stupid funny.
Here’s Larry th Redneck’s new upcoming movie WITLESS PROTECTION.
As you can see from this picture that it also stars the legs of Jenny McCarthy who appears to be brunette in this flick.

I say.. if all the blond girls of the earth joined forces together to form their own country, a Blond all-girl nation, Jenny McCarthy could be the president…. and I could be the only male immigrant.

WITLESS PROTECTION also stars Julia Roberts unsuccessful brother, Eric Roberts whose last great movie was Best of the Best, let’s see that was like…. one, two,… ooo I don’t know.. about 18 years ago!

WITLESS PROTECTION is about a small town sheriff who thinks he sees a kidnapping in progress and so he rescues the damsel in distress who turns out to be a crucial eyewitness being protected by a group of FBI agents.
Leave it to Larry the Cable Guy to misunderstand a lot of things.
The movie starts February 22nd, 2008… not that you need to remember it.

Borat Protests the War

Posted by Rama On December - 31 - 2007

According to Timesonline, Steven Spielberg reportedly Sacha Baren Cohen (Borat) to play a character in a based on a true story movie of The Trial of The Chicago Seven where Sacha might get paid $3 Million to portray Abbie Hoffman, a figure from the 1960s counterculture who used a series of pranks to campaign against the war.

The story will follow up a group of protesters that disrupt the 1968 Democratic Party convention with an anti war campaign that turned nasty. Demonstrators threw bricks, police threw tear gas and Chicago was engulfed in flames.
Sounds a lot like my neighborhood when I was growing up.

Sacha Baren Cohen doing drama, huh? Let’s see if he has what it takes to be under the direction of the great Steven Spielberg.
This is said to be Munich-like, where it deals with the morality of political attack.
It must be good to be Steven Spielberg, doing all kinds of genre and most of the time, his movies come up awesome.

The article goes on saying that Sacha won’t have to do much to change his looks to play Hoffman because aside from them both being 6 ft tall and Jewish, as you can see from this picture below, him and Hoffman practically look like they could be long lost brothers.

KUNG FU DUNK

Posted by Rama On December - 31 - 2007

There’s Shaolin Soccer and then there’s Shaolin girls playing Lacrosse while kicking ass, and now this… KUNG FU DUNK, a cross between Martial Arts and Basketball…. though I doubt that combining these two skills is what Lakers need to be unbeatable this season, Stupid selfish Kobe!
No knowing yet if the movie will get released in the U.S. but it definitely hit theaters in Asia by February 2008.
This crazy trailer… and I really mean it by that… has a bunch of Taiwanese flying and all sorts of stuff, it’s fun to watch though we can’t understand what they’re saying because even the subtitle is in Chinese language

Look here.. I’m an Asian.. I came from Asia.
My people do know how to do splits and punch faces with our feet,
But Basketball?… Unless it’s Yao Ming,…Let’s just say that basketball’s not really our forte!
This movie’s gonna be hilarious.

Photos down SOUTH OF THE BORDER

border

You know what they call a movie that has many latino and latina movie voice stars in it?: SOUTH OF THE BORDER and names like Salma Hayek, Andy Garcia, Paul Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Edward James Olmos are just some of the well known people that are going to be voicing different animals in this upcoming movie about a Beverly Hills Chihuahua (Drew Barrymore) who gets lost in Mexico City while vacationing there.
I thought the movie Cats & Dogs was pretty funny, maybe this ain’t gonna be bad too.

Although… having Salma Hayek playing an animal instead of her beautiful self is kind of a turn off.
As you can see, this movie also stars Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly, Cheaper by the Dozen), a cute all-American girl whose talent won’t stand a chance against those names I mentioned… if they acted as humans.
Here are some images from the movie which opens August 8th, 2008.

SOFA KING Great!

It’s not recent but since not much movie biz info happening right now… here’s a hilarious clip, covered in two video formats, of SNL sketch “Sofa King” featuring Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, who will also be in the upcoming Indiana Jones 4
A commercial about an immigrant family saying the best sofa in town using the funniest tagline ever!
You wanna know how to get away with saying F word on national TV, here’s one way to do it…

The second one is the sweded trailer for Boyz N The Hood, Jack Black looks funny with the glasses and the fro.
In the third clip, Jack Black briefly explains to us what ‘Swede-ing’ is.

Tyler Perry in STAR TREK

Posted by Rama On December - 30 - 2007

tyler perryActor/Producer/Writer/Director… did I miss anything?… all that Tyler Perry who started as a playwright and took his stories to the big screen, he is one of the most successful Hollywood persona today, gaining fame and fortune and with movies that have good moral family message (Madea movies, Daddy’s Little Girls, Why Did I Get Married?) he’s also gained huge fanbase, those of us who love feel-good movies once in a while. I admire a person who after becomes a millionaire still hasn’t lost his or her integrity.

Tyler Perry will be in a movie that’s not his own for the first time ever…. apparently someone named J.J. Abrams is a fan of his work or maybe it’s Tyler Perry who’s secretly been a Trekkie all his life? Who knows? But according to UGO, Tyler will be in the new STAR TREK Movie about the crews of Starship Enterprise when they were young.

The article goes on explaining that they have filmed Tyler Perry’s scene a while back. Apparently the scene involves a courtroom/assembly where the young Captain Kirk is facing expulsion from Starfleet Academy for “cheating” on one of his critical tests. Tyler Perry plays the head of the academy overseeing the assembly.

You wouldn’t believe who snitched/ratted on young Kirk?

BTW, STAR TREK first teaser will be shown in front of the movie Cloverfield on January 18th.
According to UGO, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves had seen the teaser trailer was very amazed, he said:..

“That’s what excited me about seeing the trailer, was that I thought ‘Well, this does look completely different and new,’” he marveled. “But while having all the stuff that will make fans of ‘Star Trek’ still feel fulfilled.”

Not that I’d know what that “all the stuff” consists of.. but I’m sure you Trekkies out there would have a field day over this. And I’m not just talking about those who are so into this stuff that they don’t know how to talk to girls.

I’m also talking about you Star Trek fans who are not open about it because you have to act adult now, but you have a hiding place for Star Trek shrine stashed away somewhere in a secret room in the basement…
repressed childhood memories that are just aching to explode when the new movie arrives December 2008.

Star Wars Holiday Special

Posted by Rama On December - 29 - 2007

We just got done with Christmas and right now just waiting for New Year to come… and since it’s a long weekend, so I figured why not watch Star Wars Holiday Special.

This is not a joke or fan-made, George Lucas actually made this and it was broadcast on TV back in 1978.
It’s got everybody, even Harrison Ford as Han Solo. The story is cheesy and because of that it’s hilarious, especially when he tells Chewbacca and his wife that they are like a family to him. LOL!

Princess Leia singing… and I’m kinda sure if they had to do this all over again, they wouldn’t wanna :)

Here’s the full movie and have an awesome rest of this holiday season, movie buff!
