All this year we’ve been hearing possibilities about 300 prequel or sequel or schmequel but the question remains what is it actually going to be about? It’d be less interesting if King Leonidas isn’t around cause ya know he died in the first installment and is Lena Headey who played the Queen show her gorgeous body in all her glory again in the next installment?
According to IESB, that attended the Q&A session of the recent WATCHMEN’s 25 minute footage screening, Zack Snyder said that Frank Miller will be writing and drawing the graphic novel that the second film will be based on and Snyder also said that he would definitely direct this sequel/prequel and is looking forward to Miller’s completion of the book.
The story will take place between the Battle of Thermopylae and the Battle of Plataea, the battle that the narrator Dilios is at while re-telling the story of King Leonidas and the mighty Spartans to a new group of warriors at the end of the movie 300. It would be like a mix between prequel and sequel.
There is a whole year between the battles to explore
This is good and all but it needs to have a new theme or will it underline the same courage/david vs. goliath storline that the first movie had? And with this plot format, it sounds like it could be a longer epic feature instead of a straight up action visual spectacle that 300 was.
The world is waiting on Frank Miller to finish the book.
So now we know what it’s going to be about, somewhat… but no word yet if Lena Headey will show off her sexiness again.
