Lock Your Doors, Shut the Windows, because here’s my list of 5 Scariest Horror movies of 2008. One movie get me jumping off the edge of my seat this year and that was the movie about Liv Tyler terrorized by masked intruders in The Strangers. The Swedish vampire movie, Let The Right One In, was an extraordinary achievement in filmmaking but it still had its horrific elements and somehow you couldn’t keep your eyes off of the screen because the scenes were beautifully shot. Jennifer Carpenter showed other actors the right way to look scared in Quarantine. Those creepy plants from The Ruins deserve to be recognized and last but not least, I’d be a fool if I didn’t mention George Romero’s apocalyptic zombies who walk slow as hell but can sneak up on you out of nowhere.
