Is it wrong for a masculine guy like me who watches action and thriller and horror to be saying something like “I love the movie ‘The Notebook‘”?
Does that make me less of a man? Because the fact of the matter is I thought The Notebook was a great chick flick in my book.
Dude, the man wrote the girl letters every day for the whole year and the b*tch mom of hers tried to keep them apart and the end where they’re old and they fall asleep and die,.. how can you not burst into tears, man?!
I tried and I tried to pull myself together and maintain my manly composure but it was such a sad, romantic story..
Okay, the point is this, from then on I’ve been looking forward to any movie adaptation based on author Nicholas Sparks’ books.
That’s why I’m damn proud to say that I can’t wait for NIGHTS IN RODANTHE starring Richard Gere and Diane Lane.
The next one will be DEAR JOHN.
The book was published back in 2006
According to Variety, Mamma Mia! Actress Amanda Seyfried will join actor Channing Tatum a young woman who meets and falls in love with a soldier while he’s on leave.
Tatum is no stranger to playing soldier roles. He was in Stop-Loss and he will be featured in the upcoming G.I. JOE Movie.
As for Amanda, I’m a big fan of the TV series that she’s part of, HBO creation titled BIG LOVE.
She will next be seen in the horror movie JENNIFER’S BODY starring Megan Fox.
Will there be love scene between Amanda and Megan Fox? A man can only dream.
Relativity is fully financing DEAR JOHN which will be directed by Lasse Hallstrom (The Cider House Rules)
It will begin production on Oct. 13 in South Carolina. Screen Gems will distribute domestically.
FYI, Amanda Seyfried was in Mean Girls with Rachel McAdams who also became a star of a movie based on Nicholas Sparks’ novel, the one and only The Notebook.
