It was said long ago that Disney will end the Narnia series to only three films because they wanna focus on another franchise called JOHN CARTER OF MARS.
According to the pixar blog, it has been confirmed that the genius behind Finding Nemo and the upcoming WALL-E, Andrew Stanton is going to be writing the movie version of Edgar Rice Burrough’s creation for Pixar
No word yet on whether it’s going to be animated or a live action feature film
Once again, just for recap purposes, I’ll let you know briefly what this whole John Carter of Mars is all about, just to show you that I’d rather see another Narnia movie than to anticipate this one.
the story revolves around a Civil War veteran who retreats into a cave to avoid capture by Apache Indians. He takes an otherworldly turn as he’s transported via time portal to the planet of Barsoom and taken prisoner by 12-foot-tall green men. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior.
And you thought Star Trek was weird.
