Angelina Jolie Plots The GUCCI Murder For Ridley Scott

Angelina Jolie Patriizia Reggiani, Ridley Scott

A couple of years ago, an info hit the web that director Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Black Hawk Down) wanted to make the movie GUCCI based on the true story of the Gucci Dynasty murder. The plan was to have the film center around the wild and glamorous story of… the Gucci family in the 1970s and 1980s, when its 153 shops moved $500m (€340m) in product annually, leading up to the tragic death of Maurizio Gucci the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci, who came out on top of a power struggle to run the family business but he was gunned down in front of his Milan apartment in 1995 and his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiana, the cold-hearted b*tch you see in the image above was sentenced to 29 years in jail for ordering the contract murder.

Fast forward 2 years later, today Variety reported that Angelina Jolie is in talks to play Patrizia. Fox 2000 is going to hire a scribe to rewrite the story and the studio is looking to have the production start next year.
Scott wants to cast his Body Of Lies star Leonardo DiCaprio as Maurizio but DiCaprio is currently not attached to the project.. yet.
Sometimes I just don’t see how Angelina Jolie could juggle her personal life with all those adopted kids and being such a workoholic in this business at the same time. She wrapped SALT, she’s going to film another spy thriller THE TOURIST, she is expected to return to WANTED 2 and KUNG FU PANDA 2, I mean seriously, Jolie is a real life wonder woman.
This GUCCI movie should be interesting, sounds like your textbook complications of greed and envy, sprinkled with ridiculous glamor.
