Did Terrence Malick just break his own cardinal rule?! Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood reported that the filmmaker notoriously known for being a perfectionist and taking his sweet long time before he makes another movie apparently is prepping for his next project which already cast some notable names like Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, hotties Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams…
We even haven’t seen Malick’s latest TREE OF LIFE which supposedly will arrive at Cannes Festival this year. TREE OF LIFE starring Sean Penn, Fiona Shaw, and Brad Pitt, the story is about a man who struggles to come to terms with a childhood torn apart by sickness, suffering and death, will be distributed by Apparition.
But this next untitled project will be a love story, of course it is, which he has written and he will direct as well, production is expected to start this fall with FilmNation Entertainment handling the international sales and distribution, it will be available to foreign buyers for the first time at the European Film Market in Berlin. Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Bill Pohlad are producing. By the way, Bale has worked with Malick before (The New World)
This is great, hopefully this would be a beautiful start of Malick making one movie each year.. but sometimes we don’t get what wish for.
