Last time I checked, the Olsen twins are worth $150 Million each. They have an empire that sells $1 billion worth of merchandise worldwide a year, from videos to hair-care products through all kinds of retail stores and the twins’ Web site. So you can make fun of how disgustingly anorexic they may look but those girls are loaded. But yeah, you would think that with all that money, they could afford to look.. healthier, but sadly, image is everything in Hollywood and speaking of the devil, according to Variety, Mary-Kate Olsen has signed on to star alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer in BEASTLY.
Directed by Daniel Barnz, the story is a re-imagining of the tale Beauty and the Beast, set in New York City, it’s about a girl (Olsen) who places a curse on a handsome egocentric young man (Pettyfer) who’s physically transformed into everything he despises.
I’m guessing Hudgens is probably going to play a Belle-like character. That’s one more for her ego trip.
Production starts in June in Montreal.
By the way, the scene of Olsen’s trying to have sex with Sir Ben Kingsley in The Wackness was not pleasant to watch, so make sure you skip that part when you check out that movie… just a suggestion
