Beavis: “yeah, yeah, really cool, he’s like I wanna make a live action movie of BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD or something like that yeah, yeah.”
Butt-head: “huh, huh,.. that’s cool”
This is what Mike Judge said about all this…
“The Three Stooges survived a lot of different guys with Shemp, Curly,” Judge reasoned. “I haven’t yet said, ‘OK, I wanna make a live-action “Beavis & Butt-Head” movie, and here’s the idea.’ But for some reason, I used to hate the idea for years, and now I think maybe there’s something there.”
“I was thinking about having a Beavis and Butt-Head movie where they’re just 60-year-old winos. Just something different but with the same spirit of it, you know? A long time ago Johnny Depp had said to me-he really wanted to be Beavis-he said, if you ever do a live-action movie, he wanted to be Beavis. And he said he was doing [Don Juan DeMarco] with Marlon Brando and he said Marlon Brando used to imitate Butt-Head and he would imitate Beavis, so I guess I’m thinking Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando. [smiles]”
This is good cause Beavis and Butthead Rock! And Beavis and Butt-head Do America Rules!
I don’t know about Johnny Depp playing Beavis though.. he’s a bit too old for the part, don’t you think?
I don’t doubt that he probably can impersonate Beavis but I think Mike Judge should cast young actors to play the two awesome idiots.
This is good info because Mike Judge’s comedy hit Office Space was a revelation, but I’m not a fan of Idiocracy and I don’t think the series King of The Hill is funny at all.
A live action feature film of Beavis and Butt-head would put him back in the game.
The interviewer suggested to Mike Judge the name Sean William Scott a.k.a Stiffler as Butt-head.
