Emily Blunt was supposed to play The Black Widow in IRON MAN 2 but that stupid Gulliver’s Travel movie might take her away from us. And I can’t believe we might have to settle for second best,.. wait let me correct that.. third best is more like it, you can even take the word ‘best’ out o the equation. Via slashfilm, TV Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku went on the Howard Stern Show on Sirius/XM Radio and expressed her interest in playing The Black Widow in IRON MAN 2..
“They’re doing Iron Man 2, and I’m so perfect for the Black Widow character, that they just need to get into it. They need to understand… I just learned Russian because I had to play a Russian girl in Dollhouse.”
Now don’t get me wrong, Eliza Dushku is bangin’ H-O to the T! But she doesn’t have the certain seductive classy sizzle that Brit hottie Emily Blunt has. Besides, Robert Downey Jr. is 15 years older than Dushku,.. it would be like getting seduced by your own sister.. gross!
Another reason why I think she’d make a bad choice for this role is that she can’t act for crap.
Resume that includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Alphabet Killer, and Bring It On just doesn’t cut it. I’m not willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Marvel is going to need a new Black Widow but I hope they’ll shop around first and look for someone like Charlize Theron, or Kate Beckinsale before the name Eliza Dushku even comes up in the shortlist.
