Screenwriter Randall Wallace who got Mel Gibson screaming ‘Freedom’ in Braveheart has been hired by Disney to rewrite the new take on the Jules Verne classic tale CAPTAIN NEMO: 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA to be directed by McG who recently let me down with his Terminator Salvation
The first script for CAPTAIN NEMO was done by Bill Marsilii and Justin Marks. The idea is to tell the origin of Captain Nemo and his submarine warship, the Nautilus, it’s still unclear how Disney would like the character portrayed on the screen as opposed to the one in the book but the movie will be action adventure.
