I saw the movie THE INCREDIBLE HULK at a test screening and everybody there came out satisfied because the movie was simply…incredible. You know how Nick Fury shows up in Iron Man after the end credits roll…well, right after The Incredible Hulk movie ended, we waited for a while to see who might show up.
The word was true and Tony Stark did indeed appear at the last scene, he met with Gen. Thunderbolt, told him that they’re putting together a team.. he didn’t say the Avengers but we all know he wasn’t implying Justice League of America.
And then the credits started rolling.. and we waited, we waited and nothing happened.
Director Louis Leterrier spoke with G4 recently, he implied that if we look carefully, you might notice a cameo for a splits second. A cameo of superhero proportion…
“As a filmmaker and as a fan, I like to go see movies and watch them several times, … and every time I see it, discover little things in the background,” director Louis Leterrier told G4. “Did you know that in Iron Man, Captain America’s shield can be found somewhere? Well in Hulk you might see Captain America Himself!”
I watch the whole thing, I didn’t notice Captain America…
This could mean only one thing… I’d have to watch it again and again until I see him with my own eyes.
And I don’t mind doing that, because trust me, THE INCREDIBLE HULK Movie is just way too awesome for you to just watch it once. You have to experience it repeatedly… you’ll be Hulk junkie.
Now if Captain America showed up very very quickly in a movie like The English Patient, and I didn’t get to see the cameo, then I’d rather give up than to have to go through hours of boring torture, watching the whole thing again.
Another explanation why we probably didn’t catch Captain America in THE INCREDIBLE HULK is probably because it was a test screening. The Nick Fury footage wasn’t shown or revealed fully in the test screening version… not until it got released nationwide that it became part of the movie.
