This certainly falls under one of the most boring info I had to talk about, but hey, it’s got Chow Yun-Fat so it deserves a bit of a ranting. According to Variety, the man who blew me away in The Killer but then pissed me off for his short unnecessary meaningless cameo in Pirates of the Caribbean 3 is going to play the legendary Chinese philosopher CONFUCIUS.
Will this be Chow Yun Fat’s chance to get Oscar nomination? Maybe, but one thing for sure, he’s going to need projects like this to clean himself off of the shame of playing Master Roshi in the upcoming movie adaptation Dragonball: Evolution,.. I’m embarrassed to even mention it.
CONFUCIUS will be a massive project because it’s backed by the Chinese government, oddly enough because about 60 years ago or so, Mao Xedong condemned Confucius and banned his teachings.
Production will start later this month. The movie will screen later this year to mark the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and Chinese thinker/social philosopher’s 2,560th birthday
