The speculation around the sidekick Watson in the movie SHERLOCK HOLMES, directed by Guy Ritchie is not taking chances on a nobody.
It was rumored that Russell Crowe might be the one to play the role but then Latinoreview said that he might play Prof. Moriarty instead.
I remember a few years ago when Chris Rock hosted the Oscars, he made a joke saying that if you wanna make a movie and if you want Russell Crowe to star in it, but he’s a bit busy with another project at the moment, then wait! Don’t go and cast Colin Farrell!
A source at Joblo claims that Irish bad boy Colin Farrell is in negotiation to play Dr. Watson.

It’s a great idea IF the Watson they’re trying to create is a drunk party dude who has sex with loose women and doesn’t give a sh*t about rules and following anybody including Holmes.
