Bad Boys

Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you for the third time?! Hollywood Reporter said that Columbia Pictures has hired Peter Craig who wrote the adaptation COWBOY BEBOP live action movie starring Keanu Reeves, to write BAD BOYS 3

Now keep in mind, that at this very moment, not Will Smith, not Martin Lawrence, not Jeremy Bruckheimer, not even director Michael Bay has signed a deal to return for the third installment but they’ve always talked about willing to collaborate again.

A while back, I wrote an observation article on Michael Bay’s movies since his first directorial debut and I gotta say, and I know I’ll be a minority on this one, but I did enjoy previous movie, that high speed chase scene on Miami highway where even a boat flew over Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett’s car was pretty cool, and that 360 degree sweet camera action panning around Will Smith holding two fire power guns in a wing formation.
The first Bad Boys earned $66 million domestically and $141 million worldwide and Bad Boys II earned $138 million domestically and $273 million worldwide.

The only obstacle for BAD BOYS 3 is coming up with a nice deal that would get all the players to sign. I remember Michael Bay once said that the only problem is that they’re all making too much money now. To hire him or Will Smith isn’t as affordable as it used to be back in 2003.
