Zach Galifianakis isn’t the only one enjoying the success of The Hangover, things are also looking up for Bradley Cooper. Can’t wait to his version of Face next year in THE A-TEAM movie, can’t think of a better man for the job. I remember Cooper spending years playing a supporting role in TV’s Alias, but now his career is going so well, he’s even replaced Shia Labeouf

According to Hollywood Reporter, Cooper has signed on to star in the thriller DARK FIELDS based on the 2002 Novel of the same title by author Alan Glynn. It’s about a young man who comes into possession of the ultimate smart pill, and the events that ensue. Back in spring, the role was intended for Labeouf to play.

The project is directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist)
The story has been described as Fight Club meets The Game.
The screenplay was written by Leslie Dixon (The Thomas Crown Affair).

Here’s the synopsis of the book…
“A pharmaceutical Faust-a journey through the darker side of ambition. Imagine a drug that makes your brain function with perfect efficiency, tapping into your most fundamental resources of intelligence and drive. Imagine a drug that could make you learn a foreign language in a day and seduce a room-full of strangers in a matter of minutes. Imagine a drug that could make you process information so fast you could see patterns in the stock market. Eddie Spinola is on such a drug. It’s called MDT-48. It’s Viagra for the brain-a designer drug that’s redesigning his life. Eddie’s not the only one addicted to MDT, but now that his dealer is dead, he’s the only one with a supply. While the drug is helping Eddie make the kind of money he’s only dreamed about, he’s also beginning to suffer the side effects: Blinding headaches. Violent outbursts. Ominous blackouts. And when Eddie tries to trace the other users, he discovers the terrifying truth. . . The Dark Fields is a feverish reading experience that lingers in your mind long after the final page.”
