I’m gonna have to take care of some more business again today, but I’ll be back later on to take care of some more movie info. Ya know why? well, because I’m a movie blogger that’s why.. and because what a boring day it would be without movies, right?!
According to Hollywood Reporter, Director Darren Aronofsky might be the one to helm MGM’s ROBOCOP the remake.
He stopped by the studio to talk about the possibility… but nothing has been confirmed yet.
I’m not sure if this is a good idea, Darren Aronofsky is known for making movies like the depressing Requiem for a Dream and the boring The Fountain
Although he the director of THE WRESTLER and the upcoming Mark Walberg’s movie THE FIGHTER.
But does that guarantee his ability to take on something like ROBOCOP?
It needs someone like Paul Verhoeven (director of the original Robocop movie) to do the gig, someone that doesn’t care too much about art and just focuses on Robots shooting stuff up. Someone like Michael Bay (check out Bay’s actual script on THE DARK KNIGHT)
