From Drew Barrymore, to Paul Weitz, to Juan Antonio Bayona, Summit’s search for the director of the third Twilight movie, ECLIPSE, continues and according to Nikki Finke, director David Slade is in talks to get the job. I have no problem with Slade, I enjoyed Hard Candy, I thought Ellen Page should’ve been nominated for her strong, somewhat psycho performance in that film and 30 Days and 30 Night was a pretty scary Vampire flick. Could Slade handle the romance between Bella and Edward because that would definitely come into play.
In “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death.
Right now, ECLIPSE is set for release on June 30th, 2010. The clock is ticking, Summit.. better choose your director soon.
