Previously, I shared with you the rumor that went around the web about Megan Fox possibly playing Lara Croft in the next installment of TOMB RAIDER Movie but that rumor got shot down by her spokesperson. But that doesn’t mean a new movie is not on the horizon.
According to Hollywoodreporter, Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin via his Lin Pictures, are set out to reboot TOMB RAIDER franchise.
The first two installments starred Angelina Jolie with a British accent as the hottie daredevil archaeologist but a reboot means that it’s going to be a new take as if those previous movies never existed at all.. kinda like what The Incredible Hulk did to Ang Lee’s Hulk.
The new project is expected to revamp the character and her mission and bear little resemblance to the original pictures. It will reimagine the origins of the character, her love interest and the main villain.
Here’s the thing, an actress that could play Lara Croft in place of Jolie, won’t be decided until they’ve hired writer and director first.
Megan Fox is hot but she can’t act, let alone do British accent, maybe they should just straight up hire a hot British actress like Emily Blunt whose stardom keeps rising up in recent years. If you wanna stay true to the game, the character’s supposed to be an Englishwoman.
Other candidates that I’m thinking might be worthy as well are Kate Beckinsale and Rhona Mitra… or just cast one of the many attractive models who’ve been portraying Lara Croft in mag covers and photoshoots.

You forgot about Alison Carroll. She is the current model for the game series. Although she is not a famous actress, she does have the ability. Most of all she has a gymnastics background.

but I wouldn’t rule her out.
