As I’ve said previously, the trailer for action comedy KNIGHT AND DAY starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz have actually made its way into theaters this past weekend but it hasn’t hit the web. Meanwhile ET got a preview of that same trailer which you can watch using the media player below. For now, we’re just going to have to endure ET’s usual annoying narration.
I’m hoping the intense action would make up for the humor that’s not quite funny. But I do have faith in director James Mangold (Walk The Line, 3:10 To Yuma). Watch the preview after this jump…
The story centers on a lonely woman (Diaz) whose seemingly harmless blind date suddenly turns her life upside-down when a super spy (Cruise) takes her on a violent worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source. Maggie Grace is playing Diaz’s sister, who is getting married, excited that Diaz will take the place of their late father and walk her down the aisle.
KNIGHT AND DAY opens July 2nd, 2010
Just WTF! Is this action, or comedy, or, God forbid, action/comedy? And weren’t they still shooting this a few weeks ago? How is this ready for a sneak peak/trailer? I’m confused.
action/comedy is what it’s been described
it’s in post-production, the trailer hit theaters this past weekend.
Hmmm, what does it mean, if anything, when a film trailer is so fast out of the traces?
hmm.. I’m not sure..
I’m guessing it’s the end of the year and they want to hype up the anticipation for summer movies
just this last week alone we saw trailers for SHREK 4, IRON MAN 2 and MARMADUKE.. all opening in summer 2010
I really don’t like the trailer for KNIGHT AND DAY, so this is probably the summer movie that I’ll anticipate the least.
hahah…it looks really funny!!!
Why all the hate??? I thought it was exciting and funny. Kind of like TRUE LIES with Arnold Schwarzenneger and Jamie Lee Curtis. It looks fun.
I guess… . maybe the trailer didn’t convince me.. but like I said .. I have faith in James Mangold, the director of Walk The Line, and 3:10 To Yuma so we’ll see
