If you’re a hardcore action movie fan, then Sylvester Stallone‘s upcoming movie THE EXPENDABLES will definitely be on your top 10 must-see list of 2010. Nola.com recently had an extensive article from the film set but one interesting tidbit stood out, producer Avi Lerner revealed that there’s going to be more EXPENDABLES
“We already have got some ideas about ‘Expendables No. 2,’ ‘No. 3,”. “Definitely, it’s a franchise movie.”
Judging from the title, I’m sure some of the characters won’t survive, except maybe for Sly because he’s the lead star, writer and director unless he wants to kill his character just so that he’d do nothing but sit back and produce the sequels. Maybe he’ll finally be able to get Jean Claude Van Damme to join the second installment.
THE EXPENDABLES is about a team of mercenaries sent to South America to topple a dictator. Sly round up some of the toughest guys you’ll recognize: Jason Statham, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Eric Roberts and possible cameos from Governor Arnold and also a secret action star that the producer is still unwilling to mention but the article hinted Bruce Willis.
So much testosterone in one movie, so much explosives too. Michael Bay would see this and say ‘hey, where are the hot chicks at?’
