Family Guy is making fun of STAR WARS again, this time, they’re doing an exact spoof remake of the entire 1980 classic Empire Strikes Back. The trailer is here, via iTunes and Apple, you can watch it using the media player below. Problem is.. I’m not laughing, the trailer is dumb, they’re recycling old jokes, I think Seth McFarlane and the gang have lost their funny mojo. I know there have been talks of FAMILY GUY big screen treatment but now I don’t think it’s such a good idea anymore, not if they keep the same humor again and again. Wow, I’m very disappointed, what the hell happened? This used to be the series that took my college years by storm.
FAMILY GUY: SOMETHING SOMETHING SOMETHING DARK SIDE hits DVD and Blu-Ray December 22nd, 2009 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, on the same day that it will also be available on iTunes. The Blu-ray Disc will include a portable digital copy of the film from the iTunes Store. My suggestion.. don’t waste your money on this…
The saga continues as Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. With the rebellion in trouble, young Skywalker must take the advice of his late, and rather lascivious, mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) and learn the ways of the “farce” under Jedi Master Yoda (Carl) to save the galaxy once and for all.
Oh… it wasn’t that bad. There were a few chuckles like: LOIS: You’re gonna attack them? (in her squeaky voice).. PETER: You’re gonna attack them? (imitating in same squeaky voice) That’s how you sound. Imagine listening to that all day. HAHAHAHA I always felt sorry for the guy that married Fran Drecher (The Nanny) who had to listen to her voice day in and day out. He probably had to wear earplugs during sex… but at least Drecher had a hell of a body that made up for the voice haha.
Who knows? Maybe they didn’t use their best material for the trailer. Lets hope.
