Last month, WB bought an untitled spec script from the screenwriter of Cars, Fred Claus and Bolt, Dan Fogelman who wrote the story with Carell in mind, it’s about a father whose life unravels while he deals with a marital crisis and tries to manage his relationship with his children. Now the project may get a couple of directors…
According to Hollywood Reporter, the directingteam behind Bad Santa and the upcoming Jim Carrey comedy I Love You Phillip Morris, Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are in talks to direct this untitled Carell dramedy.
Frankly, I can’t wait to see this one because I thought Carell was overlooked in Little Miss Sunshine and Dan In Real Life, he’s more talented that he looks. He can make us sympathize with his character cause he’ll play it in such a way that he’ll look like a wounded dog or a poor soul in need of happiness like it’s nobody else’s business
But at this point, it’s unclear if this will be Carell’s next project because there’s also that MAIL ORDER GROOM that will reunite him with his Date Night‘s co-star Tina Fey.
