Well, it’s not exactly an image from the movie itself, but it’s production photo and this’ll do for now. Via LA TIMES, here’s a first look at a behind-the-scenes photo of AVATAR. Now that 2009 is upon us, get ready to expect more assets hitting the web from this upcoming James Cameron extravaganza, an epic mix of sci-fi, CGI, Live Action, and 3D. The website said that the concern is that the audience might be too overwhelmed.
Sometimes I wonder if the Titanic Director ever wakes up in the morning, thinking.. hmm.. ‘maybe I should do an independent project today, nothing big budget, but it would still get me nominated’.
Wishing Cameron to do anything other than a large scale project would be like wishing George Romero to work on romantic comedy instead of zombie flicks, it’ll never happen and we wouldn’t want them any other way, would we?!
AVATAR tells the story of an ex-Marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.
