Rama’s SCREEN is slowly but surely lookin’ nice! It’s not fully in the promised land yet but we’re getting there. I know you guys want some coolness for your Follow Friday twitter, so here’s a quickie. As we all know by now, the brand spankin’ new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Live Action/Hybrid movie is happening. Not much about the plot is known yet but we’ll get to see those cowabunga ass-kickin’, pizza-lovin’ dudes at this year’s Comic-Con. The website TMNT25 breaks it down in details but basically what you need to remember is that on Friday, July 24 from 4:15-5:15, there will be a special TMNT panel in Room 6DE. Panel members will include the creator Kevin Eastman, Steve Barron, who directed the original TMNT movie, Galen Walker and Scott Mednick, they’re producers of new TMNT movie (slated for 2011) and voila! The writer is John Fusco. He’s the guy in charge of the screenplay.
If you don’t know Fusco or don’t seem to remember his past work, I don’t blame you but maybe Young Guns, Hidalgo, and The Forbidden Kingdom ring a bell. The project doesn’t have a director yet but since Barron is going to be at the event, one can only hope he’s there to reveal a secret regarding his involvement in all of this.
We’re not done yet, GoGreenMachine reported that Mirage Studios, 4Kids Entertainment and TMNT Productions will host an open casting call for martial arts experts, 14 years or older (under 18 must have adult permission), must bring 30-Second Martial Arts Demo, to audition to be a part of the stealth nemesis, the Foot Clan, in the upcoming New TMNT Movie, set to open in 2011.
The audition will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Hollywood & Highland. 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90028 at Grand Staircase

The Foot Clan was a group of ninja thieves and assassins founded by Shredder in Japan, but later stationed in New York. In the animated TMNT Movie, The Foot Clan was under leadership of Karai, who has taken control after the Shredder’s demise.
