Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, quite the odd combination for romantic comedy but that’s just the case with GOOD LUCK CHUCK. If you want to watch this for the comedy alone you most likely… won’t get disappointed but Dane is a better stand up comic than he is a comedy movie star. It would take him more projects and I mean projects that are unique and of his own trademark just to bring him to the same level as Will Ferrell, Jack Black, and all the other comedy movie stars.
Charlie or Chuck (Dane Cook) never gets lucky when it comes to finding love because every girlfriend he’s been only takes advantage of him so that they can find true love in the next people they date. But to make sure he gets the girl of his dream (Jessica Alba), he’s willing to do whatever it takes to break the curse and he ain’t kiddin’ when he means whatever it takes.
The story is actually not bad at all, in my opinion. It has lots of brief sexual content for those of you fans of Wedding Crashers film.
GOOD LUCK CHUCK is actually more romantic than the Owen Wilson-Vince Vaughn smashing hit.
When you truly love someone, you’ll do anything to make that person happy even if it means you’re gonna have to let his/her go. Love Hurts, man! Love Hurts!
Here’s the thing, though… who’s to say that the next person would be better than you at making her happy?!
It does show the mistakes that most of us do sometimes when we come on too strong in expressing our feelings. That kind of method becomes a turn off.
The character that Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury) plays in this movie is very annoying. I would hate to have a best friend like that.
