Don’t you just love gossip?! No matter if it’s true or not, you have to admire the power that gossip has on people. It has the ability to spread everywhere like California wild fire.
UGO got the chance to speak with producer JC Spink about the latest project movie adaptation Y: THE LAST MAN. He said that he would like Alicia Keys to play the character agent 355 in the movie but he will leave it for director DJ Caruso to decide.
Wanna know how you know the movie might actually be cool?! When you have a director with the name DJ and the producer’s name starts with JC. It can’t get cooler than that!
believe it or not, I think Alicia Keys would be fantastic. Or Zoe Saldana. By then Star Trek will be out and she’ll be huge. I don’t think Jada Pinkett Smith would be right but a lot of people like her.
After watching The Nanny Diaries and Smokin’ Aces. It’s fair to say that despite her amazing singing and songwriting skills, Alicia is not that talented when it comes to acting. She doesn’t have enough ‘flying hours’.

On another info, and this one feels like a blast from the past, those of us who grew up watching re-runs of Adam West’s Batman series with all the KAPOW and the WOOSH word signs, we’re glad to hear that the girl who played Catwoman, Julie Newmar recently spoke up, via New York Daily News, about who she thought would be perfect to play Catwoman in the next Batman movie…
“Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me (she) has made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love. She’s tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess.”
Julie Newmar vouches for Angelina Jolie. Somebody ought to call Jolie and ask what she thinks about the endorsement.
But the fact remains, this isn’t a political campaign, no one even knows yet if Christopher Nolan would sign on again to direct the third installment.
I’m saying that because if WB chooses to hire a different director,.. it doesn’t matter if Jolie is the Catwoman or not… the movie would be bound for disaster. Only Nolan and his vision could bring yet another masterpiece to the big screen.
By the way, this is an image of Julie Newmar now, she’s 75 years old and she’s been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth, an incurable neuromuscular disease. But she still looks like she’s got nine lives.
