What do we know about the project GHOSTBUSTERS 3 other than the fact that it’s going to proton pack our brains to the ectoplasmic world of jubilation? (Clearly I’ve been wanting this third installment for years). In the previous info, Harold Ramis a.k.a Dr. Egon Spengler said that the old gang will return but only to mentor the new generation of Ghosbusters.
And then Dan Aykroyd a.k.a Dr. Raymond Stantz confirmed that statement, adding that there’ll be a new cadet of boys.. and girls.
Talks of female ghostbusters isn’t something new, personally, I’ve always wanted the two I saw at Comic-Con to get the roles, but recently, Aykroyd talked about the project again, this time to The Hero Complex and said that the new movie might have a five-member “new generation” team with several female members.
Who does he have in mind? Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano. Two of the sexiest brunettes to ever walk this earth.
Not a bad suggestion, because those girls can bring a certain sexy to the new team that only Sigourney Weaver could bring in the previous installment. Either that or Aykroyd always had a sick fantasy of Dushku and Milano making out and this is his only way to get them together.
By the way, he also said that as much as they want the original director Ivan Reitman to tackle the Ghosts once again, Reitman is hella busy so there’s a chance the directing job will go to Harold Ramis who obviously has an experience or two on this field (Groundhog Day, Analyze That, Bedazzled, the upcoming Year One)
“He has a lot of things going on, but it would be wonderful to see him do it.”
Aykroyd talked a bit about how hard it was getting Bill Murray to get on board but that’s not the case anymore because the story that screenwriters Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky drafted is good enough in Murray’s eyes. Read the full article OVER THERE.
