Just when I was afraid of.. an evening of frustration one after another, my flight got delayed so I landed in Sacramento hella late past midnight hour, and my rental car fee was ridiculous high because there was some dumb convention in town, to make things worse, I went online to find that one of my favorite classic films of all time the 1967 drama BONNIE AND CLYDE starring legends Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, is going to be remade..
well, to be fair, it’s NOT actually going to be a remake but it still doesn’t sound good to my ears. According to Variety, Tonya S. Holly will direct a new retelling of the story two famous bank robbing couple, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The movie’s going to be simply titled THE STORY OF BONNY AND CLYDE (pffh.. that’s not creative!)
It will show different parts of the couple’s lives that had not been previously seen. The story’s going to be from Tony’s own script, that means either she did research and found something interesting or her imagination just ran wild.
The crap didn’t end there, the two actors chosen to add to the catastrophe are Hillary Duff and Kevin Zegers.
I always thought Hillary’s older sister, Haylie was the more attractive one but acting wise, they both stink in my book. Kevin Zeger’s previous significant role was Transamerica and a bunch of other TV gigs including Smallville.
Supporting cast ain’t much help either. Rance Howard and Natalie Canerday have also been hired for this new take and I got a bad feeling that they’re going to play Buck Barrow and Blanche, the characters that were immortalized by the great Gene Hackman and Estelle Parsons in the 1967 version.
