In The SHADOWS Of James Franco

Ya see, I think James Franco is doing his career the right way. He doesn’t plan on being stuck doing pothead comedy or big budget movie ala Spider-man franchise for the rest of his life, he ventures off once in a while to do drama like In The Valley of ElahMilk and the upcoming Howl. Sure he hangs out with Rogen and the Apatow gang but he never forgets that he’s a talented actor. He’s not a snobby heartthrob who solely depends on his good looks.

When I met him at the Pineapple Express screening last year, he was super fan-friendly unlike Rogen who just stormed out of the building once the event was done. Plus Franco is finishing up graduate film school at NYU and completing master’s degree at Columbia U. The man may be young, he may not have an Oscar but the way he’s been doing his career, he’s like a role model for young actors everywhere.

According to Variety, before Franco leaves to Ireland to film YOUR HIGHNESS with Natalie Portman and Danny McBride, he’s going to do an Indie flick, IN PRAISE OF SHADOWS, written and directed by his teacher at NYU, Jay Anania
The drama tells centers on William Vincent (Franco), and the journey that brought him back to New York City after four years in exile so he could rescue the love of his life from a crime syndicate.
After the big budget comedy and the indie flick, Franco returns to class in the fall.
Another smart actor out there is Jodie Foster who has B.A. in literature and graduated from Yale University.

Uh…Franco already wrote some screenplays & directed. (THE APE, GOODTIME MAX, etc.) He’s diversified, handsome and focused. I keep hearing what a really nice guy he is, too! That just makes him all the more appealing…

    You’re right,
    Thanks for the correction, Dianna
