Some dude who was an extra in the upcoming INDIANA JONES 4 movie, named Tyler Nelson leaked the safely guarded plot details. Monster and critics said that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has Dr. Jones taken hostage by the Soviet Army while… searching for the crystal skull in the jungles of South America.
Cate Blanchett plays the torturer that interrogated Indiana Jones as he was strapped to a chair. She threatened to kill Jones’ ex-girlfriend, played by Karen Allen, and their son, played by Shia LaBeouf.
According to the info, Steven Spielberg is not happy with Nelson for breaching the nondisclosure agreement and Steven has cut Nelson’s scene.
The film spokesperson said that Nelson might not be able to work in this town (Hollywood) ever again and a representative at Thomas Talent Agency said that Nelson’s in trouble.
Nelson must be an idiot, pulling a stunt like that. Any normal person would be glad and feel privileged to be given the opportunity to be in a movie with Harrison Ford, even if it means just being an extra. You’d have to be an idiot to screw that up. But at the same time, idiots like Nelson that give us movie freaks a reason to rejoice a bit.
Are they going to change the storyline because of this incident?
Indiana Jones 4 has given away too much of itself every single month, I don’t know why all of a sudden the people behind the production are angry about this one leak?!
If you ask me, I think this whole thing is just another one of their ways to keep Indiana Jones talked about.

Shia LaBeouf
Shia LaBeouf who’s going to play Dr. Indiana Jones’ son and also revealed the full official title of Indiana Jones 4 back in MTV VMA Awards– he’s not getting fired or anything — in fact, he’s going to reprise his role in the sequel movie, drumroll please… TRANSFORMERS 2, which will also be directed by Michael Bay. It is scheduled for release June 26, 2009 but the when part is still subject to change.
Rejoice, mankind!
Movie doesn’t really look too interesting to be honest… the only reason Indiana Jones was fun was because it was against Nazi’s… Man… Soviet’s? Come on.
Anyway, I don’t think Nelson is an idiot, I think he’s just brave. People should realize that movies really do not matter. The real world is what matters more, and people who put movies above real living human beings are the worse kind scum ever to walk the living Earth.
So what if the movie stars the washed up Harrison Ford, he’s just an actor. Another human being, no human being is worth more than another.
To be honest, I disagree with you calling Nelson an idiot. He is a promise or deal-breaker, yes, I agree, but an idiot, and to be talked about as “being in trouble” just shows how uptight and belligerent the movie makers are. They could have just said “he breached his contract and we are sorry but such action must be punished with his scene taken out…” but no, they have to act all big and tough like bullies.
Hollywood movies don’t excite me that much anymore, which is why I like commenting on your site. Opinions are better than the movies themselves. =P
If the plot leak is true, then Harrison Ford has done it again!
Meaning…
He’s starring in yet another “Lay off my family ’cause I’m gonna hunt you down by the end of the movie!” movie, but with the “Indiana Jones” theme song.
And I agree with commenter Ronald, as Nazis (and similar Fascist/nationalistic/racist/tyrannical regimes) represent absolute evil to the vast majority of Westerners…as evidenced by many debates degenerating to a philosophical fallacy known as “reductio ad Hitlerum,” i.e., “Hitler did X; therefore X is evil.”
Soviets, on the other hand, only make great villains for Cold War-era, covert military operation, period films…and of course, for all that anti-communist propaganda produced between 1945 and 1989 (e.g. the strangely-numbered “Rambo” trilogy…soon to be tetralogy).
Cheers,
Ryan
I don’t really see the big deal, other than finding out that Indy had a son with his ex (unless that was the huge plot twist of the movie and now we have no reason to see it, which I doubt). That movie extra may be an idiot but only because it sounds as though he may have trouble finding another extra/acting job in Hollywood — NDAs are serious business!
But to think about it again…
many idiots have found their 15 minutes of fame continues in other format or setting.
I doubt this one will join the list.
