Real quick now, one of the few stars I’ve been fortunate enough to meet, one of the few actual friendly celebs out there, Jack Black is going back to animation. He voiced Zeke in Ice Age and of course Po in Kung Fu Panda, which banked $631 Million worldwide. But it’s not announced or confirmed yet that he would be voicing in this new animated film. The report only says he’s producing the project…
According to Heat Vision, Jack Black is producing CRYPTOZOOLOGY with Jason Micallef‘s pitch which was picked up by Universal-based Illumination Entertainment.
The plot is kept under wraps but CRYPTOZOOLOGY is the study of mythic and legendary creatures like Bigfoot, The Yeti, and The Loch Ness Monster.
Micallef also wrote the script BUTTER, housed at Mandate with Jennifer Garner attached to star.
This year Jack Black let me down with Year One and all the spy photos of the upcoming GULLIVER’S TRAVEL doesn’t get me excited at all so we’ll see about this CRYPTOZOOLOGY but what I’m wondering is when Black will get to work with a big time Oscar winning director like Peter Jackson (King Kong) again and do some real, and I mean real cool mindblowing movie.
