This is interesting, Variety often ignored movie blogs that broke the news to the world first but recently it recognizes Bloody-disgusting about yet another video game-based movie info for you, CASTLEVANIA, a classic Konami video game created and developed in 1986
Paul W.S. Anderson was attached to direct the project back in 2005, and then in 2007 the name Sylvain White was a possible director but now Saw helmer, James Wan is going to direct CASTLEVANIA with Ian Jeffers to write the script. I’m a big fan of Wan’s under-appreciated revenge flick Death Sentence starring Kevin Bacon.
The movie’s going to be live-action and the story centers on Simon Belmont, a bloodline of vampire hunters. He travels in the Carpathian mountains and fights his way through its monstrous demons, eventually destroying Dracula himself.
Even Wan himself excitedly made the announcement via his myspace blog.. who still uses MySpace anyway?!
