My God if I didn’t know any better I thought Jason Reitman (Juno) and Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz) could be brothers. Maybe it’s those damn beards and long hair. The two directors are in fact best friends and recently, Reitman was privileged enough to witness 30 minutes of Wright’s upcoming adaptation SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and guess what.. Reitman loved it! He even tweeted about how euphoric he was over the footage he’s seen of the movie…
But then again, these guys are best buddies, can you actually take his word for it? If I were to check out my friend’s movies and review ‘em, I’d probably say something decent too instead of a hurtful truth.
JasonReitman In London, @edgarwright showed me 30min of Scott Pilgrim. While sworn to secrecy (so much, surprised blood wasn’t demanded) I will say this:
JasonReitman It is a game changer for Edgar and the genre. It moves the speed of light and carries more unadulterated joy than Ive seen in recent cinema.
JasonReitman SP does what everyone our age has been dreaming about: achieves the first all encompassing film of the joystick generation.
JasonReitman I’m in awe of the sheer control in the filmmaking. It feels like a “Matrix” for love and how willing we are to fight for it.

JasonReitman If I had a movie coming out next year, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near it. Hats off my friend. Can’t get it out of my head.
Based on the Oni Press graphic novel, written by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays the dream woman of a young slacker (Michael Cera). But the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends. The movie has yet to have a theatrical release date.
