Which villain will the friendly neighborhood go up against in Sam Raimi‘s fourth installment? SPIDER-MAN 4 is going to start filming next year and yet the world has not heard one official bit about who they’ve chosen to be the next bad guy? Some say, Dylan Baker who plays Dr. Curt Connors is going to turn into his alter ego The Lizard, many female stars have been rumored to play Black Cat (Julia Stiles, Rachel McAdams, Romola Garai, Anne Hathaway), but movieline has heard of another one, how about John Malkovich as The Vulture?…
The website claims that Malkovich is circling the flying elderly man with a silly green suit. According to Wiki, “He wears a costume of synthetic stretch fabric housing a tailored electromagnetic harness with bird-like wings attached beneath the arms. This consists of an electromagnetic anti-graviton generator worn on his body as a harness enabling him to fly silently with precise maneuverability. The harness also increases his resistance to injury to the point that he can survive blows from Spider-Man’s enhanced strength despite his age.”
There have been a few separate versions of The Vulture but it started with the character Adrian Toomes.
But that’s not all the rumor that the website has come across, remember the one about Anne Hathaway being the possible Felicia Hardy a.k.a Black Cat? Well, now they’re saying that there’s some truth to that but with a little twist.
She may be circling the role of Felicia Hardy but the story in SPIDER-MAN 4 won’t have her eventually become Black Cat,…she’s going to become a brand-new superpowered figure called the Vulturess. Maybe she’s like the Vulture’s Harley Quinn.
Unfortunately, this also means that director Sam Raimi is probably not going to have Dylan Baker’s character be The Lizard at all. The studio can’t bring itself to sign off on such an odd-looking enemy. Unfreakin’believeable! We can have lame-ass Topher Grace as Venom but not Baker as The Lizard? What a crock of bull.
Take this info with grain of salt for now, but it’s here now just so you won’t be too surprised when any of this is confirmed.
