Judd Apatow’s Sherlock Holmes

Not too long ago, it was reported that director Guy Ritchie has been chosen to direct the new movie adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s world famous detective, SHERLOCK HOLMES.

It seems like the iconic character has inspired the King of Comedy Movies in recent years, Judd Apatow.
According to Variety, he and fellow producer Jimmy Miller will make their own version of Sherlock Holmes in the currently untitled project.

Guess who have been cast in the movie?! One is a tall Kazakhstani dude and the other is an Anchorman.
If you’re actually searching for the answer on google right… then you’re not up to speed on your movies, my friend.

Sacha Baren Cohen will play Sherlock Holmes and Will Ferell gets to play his partner, Watson
Sacha is a British comedian known for his award winning role as Borat and he was featured in Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd and later this year he can be seen in his next movie, his other alter ego, Bruno.
I don’t remember Will Ferell ever done any British accent, but I’m sure the years he spent in SNL probably trained him to pick up any accent within minutes.

No one even knows yet what kind of version this will be. Will it be set in present time? Will it be Americanized? What’s the twist?
All the world knows is that it’s a comedy movie and it reunites two stars whose last movie together was TALLADEGA NIGHTS.
Let’s just hope screenwriter Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder) comes up with a funny storyline.
