DAYDREAM NATION is about “a disaffected high school senior who finds herself deposited along with her widowed father in a desolate Canadian hamlet where boredom leads her into an affair with a teacher and into a more promising romance with a druggie teen.” What the… sex with a teacher and then sex with a druggie her own age. Perhaps Dennings is trying to up the ante on her acting chops.
The film is written and directed by Michael Golbach. Production starts in Vancouver on Saturday.
Next.. Salma Hayek and Maggie Grace, according to Variety, have signed on to co-stars in Dwayne Johnson’s return to action, FASTER. What would an action flick be without 2 hotties anyway!
FASTER is an action/thriller about an ex-con bent on avenging the death of his brother, murdered 10 years earlier when the two were double-crossed during a heist… Things get even more complicated and intense because while hunting down the people responsible for his brother’s death, the ex-con (Johnson) is also being pursued by several guys who want him dead. Billy Bob Thornton is set to play a veteran policeman who trails Driver as he races to settle with those responsible for the murder.
