As we all know, scribe Kevin Williamson is writing SCREAM 4 which is going to be the start of a new SCREAM Trilogy. The contract has him writing SCREAM 5 as well.
3 of the original stars David Arquette, Courtney Cox and Neve Campbell will all reprise their roles while Wes Craven is open to the possibility of returning to the franchise to direct this fourth installment but he hasn’t officially signed on yet. In a recent chat with MTV, Williamson revealed his plan for SCREAM 4...
“The fourth one is an ensemble. It’ll take place right now, 10 years later, and it’s going to take place in [Sidney Prescott's hometown of] Woodsboro. We’ll have our three main characters, and we’ll be introducing several more. We’ll also be introducing a little group, a little ensemble of new castmembers. That’ll take us through the next three.”
Previous rumor had it that The Weinstein Company wants SCREAM 4 filmed and released in 3D but as you can hear yourself in the vibrant video below, Williamson didn’t speak at all about it.
Production is expected to start in April or May of 2010
