UPDATE: Shocktilyoudrop implies that there’s a chance PIRANHA might not even be released in 3D anymore. Yikes.
Buff Elizabeth Shue couldn’t fight the competition and Kelly Brook isn’t sexy enough to attract young demographics. LA TIMES reported that The Weinstein Company has moved Alexandre Aja‘s PIRANHA 3D all the way to August 27th, 2010, it was initially set for release on April 16th, but TWC feels that weekend will practically be owned by KICK-ASS, so now those flesh eating fishes won’t have to worry about getting their asses kicked at the box office anymore…
Some of the worthy opponents in August will be The Expendables and Priest but they would open on the weeks prior to PIRANHA 3D.
Starring Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss, Jessica Szohr, Jerry O’Connell, Cody Longo and Ricardo Chavira, the trailer for PIRANHA 3D which already hit theaters last month was bootlegged online not too long ago but the official version hasn’t been released yet.
