When Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures heard that their Saw VI director Kevin Greutert has been hired by Paramount to helm PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 which will be released on the same weekend as this year’s SAW 7 in 3D, Lionsgate and Twisted pulled a Will Smith and said ‘Aww hell Naw!, like hell you will!’ DeadlineHollywood reported that the two studios have snatched Greutert away from Paramount…
They exercised a contractual option.. what happened was when Greutert directed Saw VI for Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, there was an option in his contract that would allow the two studios to call him back to helm another Saw film
Sucks to be Greutert right now. Saw VI only banked a disappointing $31 Million worldwide and now he can’t move on.
Who would’ve thought that Liongstae and Twisted could be as mean as Jigsaw himself.
They practically have Greutert wake up in a torture room and the key is inside his eye socket, he’s going to have to try to take it out in under 2 minutes or the canisters will be released and a big-ass axe will come down and chop his head off. If he can escape, he’s free to direct PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2. Ha!
The 7th SAW Installment which will simply be called SAW 3D will start production in 2 weeks.
