I like the movie Wanted. I thought it was nothing short of entertaining, But I don’t think I like the creator, Mark Millar.
A while ago, he expressed his hatred on Wall-E.
And now he claims that he’s been given the power to make the Next SUPERMAN Movie instead of director Bryan Singer.
It’s no news that he’s been obsessed with Superman for the longest time.
This is what he told Daily Record…
“Since I was a kid I’ve always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century.”The Superman brand is toxic after that last movie lost $200 million, but in 2011 we’re hoping to restart it,” said Millar. “Sadly I can’t say who the director is, but we may make it official by Christmas. But fingers crossed it could work out, that would be my lifetime’s dream.”
He later said this in his recent message board…
“A very well known American action director heard about my love of Superman, approached me and asked me to team up with he and his producer to make a pitch for this. We’ve been talking for several weeks now and, if this is going to happen, we’ll know by Christmas. He has huge pull at WB so fingers crossed.”
Who could that be?? Who’s the director he’s talkin’ about?
Superman Returns bombed. It was plain disappointing. Everybody knows that. Everybody agrees.
And these days, we have to admit, some superhero remakes have turned out surprisingly well… Batman Begins, The Incredible Hulk.. so maybe letting Mark Millar have his wish granted isn’t such a bad idea after all.
Wanted is an action packed movie.. action packed was what’s missing from Superman Returns, which was a sequel.
I just don’t like Mark Millar’s cocky attitude.
Last I checked, WB still wants Bryan Singer to helm MAN OF STEEL and Brandon Routh to reprise his role as the hero from Krypton.
Do you think Mark Millar would do a good job revamping SUPERMAN?
