James Bond fans all over the world need to thank Martin Campbell, because not only did he bring Bond back after 6 year hiatus with the awesome Goldeneye and Pierce Brosnan as the new 007 agent back in 1995, Campbell also introduced Daniel Craig as the new 007 back in 2006 with yet another amazing Bond movie, Casino Royale, which to some has been considered quite possibly the best in the series.

So what will be Campbell’s next project? How about THE GREEN LANTERN live action movie? That wouldn’t be such a bad idea, now would it? Except maybe for the fact that I didn’t grow up admiring that particular superhero.. I just never thought he was that badass.
Color Green and the whole thing with the ring.. look awfully lame.

According to Variety, WB is trying to get Martin Campbell to be the director of this big budget project based on the DC Comics Hero.
Greg Berlanti wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Donald DeLine will produce with Berlanti who at one point was assumed to be taking on the directing job, obviously that’s not the case anymore.
Last year, WB president Alan Horn said that GREEN LANTERN is WB’s next ambitious project... since Superman sequel, Justice League of America, and TDK sequel are currently not showing vital signs of life.
Last rumor I heard about who might be cast as Hal Jordan is Ryan Gosling.. no confirmation yet on that department.
