Last month, it was announced that Michael Moore’s next untitled documentary will be released in theaters on October 2nd, 2009. After dealing with gun rights, patriot act and health insurance, Moore’s gonna go to the bottom of this crappy economy by taking a comical look at the corporate and political mess that’s embraced Gekko’s greed is good philosophy at the cost of taxpayer’s money.
And now, USA TODAY has the first image above. The Oscar winning fat filmmaker said this..
“The movie is not going to be an economics lesson; it’s going to be more like a vampire movie,” “Instead of the main characters feasting on the blood of their victims, they feast on the money. And they never seem to get enough of it.”
A vampire movie, huh? I wanna put a Twilight joke in here but I think I’ll pass.
I enjoy how Moore’s films could get the audience angry at the system but at the end of the day, the system stays and the audience forget what they’ve just seen 20 minutes ago. It’s a shame if you think about it.
So here’s another agenda that Moore has, an effect that he hopes to happen..
“I want them to walk out at the end saying ‘Wow, that was something!’ And in this case, maybe they also walk out asking the ushers, ‘Um, excuse me. Where are the pitchforks and torches?’ “
So.. what do you think the title to Michael Moore’s new movie should be?
How about.. The Fat Knight.. or.. The Curious Case of Greedy Douchebags
