The teaser for Michael Moore‘s new untitled documentary has been released by Overture and it shows him asking money from all of you to help CEO’s of big companies everywhere. It’s meant to be a joke but turns out Firstshowing heard that it got real at some local theaters because right after Moore’s on screen request, ushers actually entered the theater with buckets literally asking for money from the audience. Apparently the gag only happened in select theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington DC.
I’d be a bit upset at first if that happened to me. Movie ticket is already $11 at night, now they want me to also give offering?!
This is the teaser for the Untitled Michael Moore bailout documentary film that focuses on the global financial crisis and the U.S. economy. In theaters October 2nd , this will explore the root causes of the global economic meltdown and take a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore described as “the biggest robbery in the history of this country” – the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.
