Last year it was announced that the novelist whose many books have been turned into movies, John Grisham, will have another one of his creations brought to life on the big screen, THE ASSOCIATE, which will star Shia LaBeouf as a student who’s about to graduate from Yale Law School when he’s manipulated into accepting a job at a prestige law firm and given privileged information about a multibillion-dollar lawsuit. The book hit the stands last month.
According to Variety, super producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura has hired one of the busiest screenwriters on the planet, Oscar winning scribe of The Departed, William Monahan. It’s true, he’s hella busy because he’s even got 2 projects (Heist and London Boulevard) that he will direct in his pocket and now this. Unless he can clone himself, I say the big guy is going to pull an all nighter.. well that may be an exaggeration because of course he’s not going to tackle everything at the same time.. but I’d be curious to see how he would manage his time and meet the deadlines.
